Chris's made his senior debut as a small boy in 2003 and after some fine performances in the lower sides, he broke into the first XI in 2010.

Burkey's glovework made him an ever-present in the title winning side of 2011 and despite a batting slump, the excellence of his keeping both up to the spinners (and Richie) and back to the paceman meant that he remained an automatic choice in 2012.

With the emergence of Billy Chapman's batting, Chris faces another challenge for his place in 2013, but with pitches hopefully a bit quicker, Burkey's deft use of pace on the ball (he can score freely everywhere from third man to backward point...) should see him back in the runs down the order.
