Waltham Show Their Sunday Best

Waltham skipper Taqi Abbas won the toss and elected to bat at M7 B Sports Ground on Sunday. After tea, Goresbrook were in the hunt for victory as Juber Rukon (24), Ivory (24) Siraj Zafar (17) and Pawanpreet Singh (13) all made double figures but never went on to compile big knocks. ‘Brook’s fading hopes rested with in-form pair Shane Barwick (37) and Lee Jones (15) but the Dagenham side’s hopes petered out with their departure as they slipped to a 42 run defeat.
