'Brook Clinch Victory in Last Ball Thriller

Goresbrook’s Under 9’s batted first against Gidea Park and Romford at Gallows Corner . Excellent fielding from the home side restricted ‘Brook to 248 with Maggie Sleight, Ryan Bucktrot, Imbyanesy Arularasan and Riley Biggs amongst the runs.
After the interval , the visitors produced an exemplary display in the field with Maggie Sleight and Riley Scott grabbing a scalp apiece with the ball. Micky Benson , Ollie Fredericks, Zayne Saddiqui and Rida Ali all bowled economically to put the pressure on ‘Park. In a drama drenched finish the home side’s last pair required two to tie and three to win off the final ball and after turning for a second a superb run out by Bella Boland clinched an exciting victory for Goresbrook’s youngest side
