U11s play at last

Goresbrook u11s finally played a match. They finished up on the losing side but could draw plenty of positives from their performance.
Ben Skinner scored 10 on debut, Grace Wood hit 15, Liam Elsom an undefeated 12 but the innings to remember was from Jack Gibson who cudgeled his way to an unbeaten 21. Brook finished their 18 overs with a net adjusted 280 but just lost too many wickets on a low bouncing Spring Farm Park pitch.
Alex S impressed on debut with ball but more accuracy was needed overall as Brook took just 4 Rainham wickets. Jack Gibson took a wicket to complete a fine all round game, as did Grace Wood. Ben Atkins took 2 wickets, bowler one batter behind their legs and the other caught by Liam Elsom at cover. Ben Skinner gave an energetic performance behind the stumps. There is room for improvement but the positives were there to be taken into Thursday nights game away at Hornchurch.
