'Brook Conquer Hill

Andre Thoufick led the visiting attack with an excellent spell of 2 for 6 ably backed up by Ben Atkins who returned 1 for 8 complementing a disciplined display in the field at Buckhurst Hill on Sunday morning restricting the hosts to 111 for 3 from their allotted 22 overs.

In reply ‘Brook were boosted early doors as Albert Sleight opened with a solid 8. Older brother Stanley Sleight produced an enterprising knock of 27 before retiring. Andre Thoufick completed a confident all round display with 20 whilst Pawan Singh compiled an entertaining knock of 18. In a drama drenched finale, Grace Wood maintained her good form with 12 to extend ‘Hill’s misery as ‘Brook completed a 5 wicket victory with two balls to spare.
