Hornchurch won the toss and elected to bat on a breezy overcast evening at Harrow Lodge Park. Goresbrook’s bowling attack was much too strong for the home side, enabling 'Brook to use nine bowlers. The pick of the attack was Liam Addison (1 for 5 from 3 overs), Callum Shepherd (1 for 8), Billy Smith (1 for 5), Jack Sleight (1 for 8), before Joel Oliver (2 for 2) and Ross McCarthy (2 for 2) mopped up the tail leaving Hornchurch on an inadequate 57 for 9 from their allotted 20 overs. 'Brook lost Jack Stead (4), Callum Shepherd (0) and Joel Oliver (8) early on, but opener Shane Barwick was in fine form at the other end stroking his way to 32 not out, before having to retire. His knock included 5 fours and lasted 24 balls. The game was then won by Aaron Scott (3 not out) and a fine short cameo knock from Jack Sleight who ended on 9 not out finishing the game with a superb cover drive for 4, as 'Brook maintained their 100% start to the group with a resounding 7 wicket victory.
