Harold Wood U15 v Goresbrook U15 - Havering League

Goresbrook’s under 15 side maintained their 100% start to the season with a workman-like win against a plucky Wood side. With the risk of a heavy downpour, 'Brook decided to bowl first and it worked well, limiting the homesters to just 71 for 8 from their allotted 20 overs. Bobby Gaymer was the pick of the 'Brook attack, passing 50 wickets for the club’s colt section taking 3 for 8 from 4 overs. He was backed up well by Billy Smith who took 1 for 9 from 4 overs, Shane Barwick 0 for 14, Liam Addison 0 for 20 and Ausman Ginai 2 for 20. All involved did their bit also.

In reply, 'Brook were reeling at 22 for 3 after 9 overs, losing Irving, Addison and Smith cheaply, and when Aaron Scot fell the score was still only on 36. However, Joel Oliver came to the crease to join opener Shane Barwick and they cruised to a comfortable victory with some 4.2 overs to spare. Oliver ending unbeaten on 18 and Barwick ending on 36 not out, giving 'Brook victory by 6 wickets
