The phrase 'club legend' is over used, but in Lol's case it is entirely appropriate.

A founder member and participant in the club's first ever game in 1981, Lol is still a first team regular as he closes in on his half-century and is the clubs leading run scorer and wicket taker with in excess of 25,000 runs and 1,200 wickets. He's also the only player to have racked up 1,000 appearances, although Andy Livett is closing in on that milestone fast(ish).

For most of his career a stylish opening batting all-rounder, as the youngsters have come through it's Lol's leg-spin that still makes him indispensable to the 1st XI skipper, his batting now being used to shore up the lower middle order.
