Goresbrook 3's earned a second win of the season against Oakfield Parkonians 6ths on Saturday.
Skipper Ben Atkins lost the toss and Brook were asked to bowl first.
The vagaries of the pitch were soon apparent as Hayan Ansari shot out Bal Doicee so subsequent batters were extremely circumspect especially against probing spells from Owen Elsom and Atif Ali. Nevertheless, the ghoul that has blighted the 3's all year was evident yet again as several catches were spilled ( with the notable exception of Andy Livetts slip fielding) and, despite expedient fielding placement on a very small ground, runs too readily conceded. 44 extras adversely gave Brook a target much higher than it ought to have been. Sikander Khan took 3 wickets, Taimur Tareen 2, Adam Heerah 1 and Dilpreet Singh closed out the innings with just his second ball.

Brook got off to a flyer with Amraj Singh hitting two boundaries from the first over until he fell early in the second to a ball that held in the pitch, chipping the ball to point.
However this brought Taimur Tareen to the crease and his intent was clear from the start as he pulled th ball for 6 over the wicket boundary first ball.
Brook continued at ten an over for 7 overs until the introduction of the experienced Hari S Jospal slowed proceeding down,literally(!), and his stump to stump bowling accounted for Tareen for 41.
However he was replaced at the crease by Dilpreet Singh who carried on in a similarly aggressive vein knocking off 33 runs in just 13 balls including 2 sixes before falling to Jospal.
The final runs were knocked off in just 16.5 overs
Parks were fantastic hosts and the game was played with great camaraderie.
Brook now face Harold Wood 6ths at Robert Clack school.
