Home skipper Vaseem Khan won the toss and invited Goresbrook to bat first at Clayhall Park on Saturday.
His decision proved correct as the visitors struggled with the willow and the home attack shared the wickets around. Siraj Jafar (23) and Amir Javed (17) provided the highlights for the Dagenham outfit who ultimately capitulated to 98 all out.
After the tea interval Redbridge saw wickets falling with alarming regularity in their run chase. Shahrir Iqbal kept his head with a dogged 39 whilst a series of partners departed back to the hutch. Alfie Atkins caught the eye with 2 for 2 but the Dagenham side were unable to clinch victory as ‘Bridge scraped home with three wickets still intact.
