Only ‘keeper Vara Prasad (12) of the Dagenham sides’ top five recorded double figures. Jack Gibson (21) and Pawanpreet Singh (24) produced battling knocks to lead a brief recovery with Hussain Chowdhury (12) and Sikander Khan (16 not) providing the sting in the tail, to give the visiting attack some scope for a positive response.
After the tea interval Woodford’s openers Sam Bryan and Joe Palmer were never out of their comfort zone in compiling an opening stand of 132 before Siraj Zafar claimed the solitary wicket to fall when sending Palmer back to the pavilion for a splendid 50. The excellent Bryan ensured there was no further alarm for the hosts, finishing unbeaten on 66, completing a 9 wicket success for ‘Green.
