‘Brook’s second string were boosted by excellent knocks from opener Alfie Atkins (39), Jagdeep Bhupal (31) and teenager Jack Gibson who, agonisingly, fell two runs short of a maiden fifty. Dev Shah (2 for 20) and Adam Orfila (2 for 24) were the pick of the visiting attack as the hosts posted a par score of 191 for 8 from their allotted 45 overs.
After tea, Manish Battan held a return catch to dismiss Jazil Imran for a duck but fellow opener, Kieran Butler (24) knuckled down receiving support from skipper Joe Sibbons who made 44. Danny Gillham (Snr) (2 for 16) caught the eye on his return to the fold after a lengthy absence but Aaron Butcher (88 not) proved to be the star of the show for the Seasiders, steering his side home to a comfortable 6 wicket victory.
