After tea, Ranjeet Godihanya fired an early two wicket salvo to lift the visitors hopes but a steady middle order revival led by Mohammad Zahour (32) and Rashid Muhammad who finished unbeaten on 31 saw West Essex home to a comfortable four wicket victory.
