Calverley added an eye catching 34 before falling to Teddy Waters whose accurate spin yielded 3 for 70. Paceman Dylan Sinfield (3 for 41) was also on song with the ball before Shane Barwick’s run a ball unbeaten 57 enabled Calverley to declare at 224 for 7 with an over off their allotted 50 outstanding.
After tea, Maswer Mansoor and Kane Messenger mad early breakthrough as ‘Brook’s attack looked to gain the upper hand. Dylan Sinfield (81) and glove man Lewis Blake (40) combing for a third wicket of 60 to put the visitors in driving seat. In a drama drenched finale, Messenger added a second scalp and spinner Shane Barwick bagged a brace of victims to give the Dagenham outfit hope of victory but Billy Winter kept his head and his match winning unbeaten 49 won the day for the Belhus.
