Brothers Patrick and Ronnie Yates combined to accumulate a 7th wicket partnership of 115 to swing the match in the home side’s favour. Patrick stroked a compelling 80 whilst Ronnie was unbeaten on 34 when, with Harlow’s total on 206 for 8, the Umpires applied a 6 run penalty against the visitors (for a tardy over rate) gifting the hosts a two wicket victory, disappointing a healthy crowd who were enjoying an exciting conclusion to the game with ‘Brook having just taken two quick wickets in the space of three deliveries.
