Stunning unbeaten half centuries for Ben Irving, Stuart Greaves and Danny Gillham were the bedrock of a big victory for Brook away at Gidea Park. Only Aaron Scott failed with the bat as the visitors hit 201-2.
The total was always going to be too much for Gidea Park and Romford but they batted out the full twenty overs to frustrate Goresbrook finishing well short on 91-7.
Stand in captain Billy Smith with 2-15 was the pick of the bowlers while Gaymer, Jackson, Jones and Kumar picked up one each. Alfie Boland showed what he can do with the ball taking a late wicket as Goresbrook secured their fifth victory in the group stages.
The quarter final draw early next week is eagerly anticipated.
