If anybody is at a loose end on Friday evening, the bar will very much be open as Raj Boparai brings over a Goodmayes & Blythswood XI (or maybe even XII) to reignite old rivalries against a Goresbrook Vets XI at the club for a T20 game with a 6pm start.

Negotiations are ongoing over playing conditions, however skipper Bird is believed to be resistant to proposals allowing Elsom and Preston to bowl 10 overs straight through from either end.
