Jordan Calverley maintained his excellent form with a fine 108 not out as Brook recorded a rare win over Sunday league powerhouse Chelmsford at the M&B Club. Brook took full advantage of a weakened visiting side, whose first string was otherwise engaged beating Brentwood to progress to the last 32 of the National Knockout Cup, to rack up 244 from their 40 overs with Shane Barwick (38), Kane Messenger (30) and Billy Parnell (34*) also scoring well.
The Chelmsford reply was never close to the required rate with Andrew Pauling (3-28) and Bobby Granger (2-23) bamboozling the Chelmsford middle order with their spin, Chelmsford closing on 157-9.
