'Brook Impress with Victory at Harold Wood

Batting first the hosts’s Under 9‘s were looking to post a big total at Harold Wood Park on Sunday Morning but were thwarted as ‘Brook’s youngest team put up an accomplished performance in the field. A wicket apiece for Charlie Trowell, Zayne Saddiqui, Joe Nunes and Ollie Fredericks, complemented by excellent catches courtesy of Lilly Nunes and Trowell, restricted ‘Wood to 293 for 4 under terriers Rules – a net 273.

After the interval, Imbyanesy Arularasan, Zayne Saddiqui and Olly Fredericks caught the eye with the bat, in the early exchanges. Charlie Trowell boosted the run rate – his two spells at the crease yielding a total of 31. The tail wagged as Liilly Nunes (6 not), brother Joe (3 not) and Jack Gibson (9 not) saw the Dagenham outfit to 337 for 5 - a net 312 and victory by 49 runs. In an excellent team performance Maggie Sleight, Bella Boland, Rida Ali and Riley Scott all made telling contributions to ensure there was no let up for Harold Wood.
