On a bright, sunny morning at the May & Baker Sports Club, Walthamstow won the toss and elected to bat first. Goresbrook got off to a great start with George Smith taking a wicket in their first over. Walthamstow were eventually bowled out for 76 in the 17th over. The pick of the bowlers was Henry Sleight with 2 for 8. The other wickets were shared around with Billy Parnell, Alfie Boland, Tahmid Khondakar, Ted Ivory, Frankie Boland and Sam Wood, with 1 run-out by Khondakar.
After the break Danny Gillham got Goresbrook off to a solid start retiring on 9. Then Alfie Boland came in and hit an explosive 19 not out, including four 4's. The other Goresbrook batsmen to hit double figures were Jaden Simmonds (12 not out) with three 4's, and Sam Wood (14 not out) also with three 4's. Goresbrook won the match in the 14th over finishing on 77 for 3 to run out winners by 7 wickets.
