Goresbrook compiling a competitive 131 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply Rainham’s openers got off to a flyer taking the score to 41 in 7 overs before spin twins Billy Smith and Shane Barwick entered the attack. Smith took 2 for 10 from 4 overs and Barwick 3 for 5 from 3 overs, which ended any real chance the away side had of a shock victory. Joel Oliver and 12 year old Charlie Thompson took a wicket a piece and there was an eye catching couple of overs from Harry Jackson who looks a potential opening bowler of the future. Rainham ended their innings on 74, losing 7 wickets and ending 57 runs short. Goresbrook now move into the Metropolitan area of the competition
