4s momentum builds

The Bobby's continued their unbeaten start to the season under vice-captain Ricci Parnell as they defeated Wickham 2nds. Experienced duo Steve Rooke 44 and Darren Ivory 40 provided the bedrock of the innings with young prospect Ted Ivory also impressing with 28 as the Roger's (RIP) started strongly. Then after Lee Granger had his stumps demolished before he could trouble the scorers, father and son duo George and Mark Sleight added an unbroken 50 for the 6th wicket as the Demi's closed on 184-5 from their 40 overs.

That total proved to many for their hosts as Pawan Singh and the skipper bowled tidy opening spells and then the spin twins took over, Bobby Granger taking 1 for 28 and Andrew Pauling taking the starring role with 3 for 26 as Parnell's men turned the screw in a good bowling and fielding performance. There was still time for Darren Ivory to roll out the pacy spin in tandem with George Sleight, both picking up wickets along with a Pauling runout, as Wickham were shot out for 99 leaving the Dudley's winners by 85 runs and looking in good shape for their clash with 2nd placed Little Baddow 2's at the MABA on Saturday.
