Goresbrook 4s off to a winning start

Keith Friend carried his bat in a fine knock of 96* during Goresbrook 4s T Rippon Division 11 opener against Thurrock 4s.
Ably supported by Dunston Alfred(37) and Tommy Puncher (29), Friend led the way as Brook knocked up 181-6 from their allotted 40 overs.
Thurrocks reply was quickly stifled by Ricci Parnell who returned impressive figures of 9-3-11-4 and with further wickets from Andrew Pauling, Tommy Puncher and Martin Rooke Brook ran out worthy winners by a margin of 29 runs to get the 2015 league season off to a winning start.
