Goresbrook u11's just had little too much experience against Hornchurch at Cromer Road on Thursday Evening.
Brook batted first and there were doublre figure contributions from Vajran 12*, Grace 12, Liam 17, Jack 12 (including a huge six) and Sri 12.
There were plenty of good shots and excellent running but perhaps the only disappointment was that all six wickets to fall were bowled.
Brook scored 344-6, netted down under Terriers rules to 314-6.
Hornchurch's reply started steadily with 30 coming from the opening partnership but Sri struck to knock 5 runs off the total.
Grace and Jack turned the screw with tight spells and Jack got a well deserved wicket and Ben Skinner behind the stumps got in on the act with a smart run out.
Thereafter runs were quite hard to come by but a few too many wides began to creep in to keep Hornchurch in the hunt but wickets for Ansuman, Vajaran and Archie really put Brook in the ascendancy.
Ben Atkins featured prominently with a wicket, caught by Liam Elsom, and then, upon taking over the keeping duties a catch behind and a run out.
A late rearguard action by the home team's Archie with the games top score of 19 was too little too late as Brook ran out winners by 32 runs.
Fewer wides and overthrows would have increased the margin of victory but Hornchurch's young players were worthy opponents well coached by Mark Ansell.
Next up is a game against Upminster B at Coopers school on Sunday morning.
