Goresbrook 3's completed a comfortable win against Ilford 5's at the Annexe on Saturday.
Ricci Parnell won the toss and opted to bat first in Brooks first home game since the 2nd week of July.
Darren Ivory 27, Kamal Mani 26, Siraj Zafar 22 all made strong contributions. 16 year old Abdullah Ahmed with 26, including 24 off an over with two balls lost in the jungle of the former tennis courts, impressed on debut but a club best 46 from Amit Yadav was the mainstay of the 207-9 Brook amassed from their 40 overs. Ilford had an enthusiastic youthful team with some talented youngsters who will surely go on to play at a much higher level but this was not to be the day.
Abdullah Ahmed impressed just as much with the ball as he had with the bat grabbing a brace in a fiery new ball spell. Siraj Zafar beat the bat repeatedly but was unfortunate not to take a wicket. John Nicholls nabbed a brace as did Paul Atkins Mafi Choudhury and Owen Elsom who, in his 100th game for Goresbrook, conceded just 3 runs from his 8 overs to help Brook to a 3rd win in a row in a 138 run victory.
