3's win nailbiter

Goresbrook 3's travelled to Fairlop Oak for this league clash with Ilford 4's and having lost the toss, were asked to bowl first on a damp topped wicket.
Leonard Thoufick and Arayaman Parida when soon in the thick of the action with 2 and 3 wickets respectively. Skipper Alfie Atkins then changed up the attack and there were further wickets for Bobby Granger, Karnail Kalyan and Amit Yadav before Parida returned to remove a doggedly wagging tail to have the host all out for 90 in 40.4 overs. Parida's figures of 4-5 were a club best for the talented 15 year old paceman.
The game continued along much the same course in Brooks reply as wickets tumbled with no one really troubling the scorer and at 60 for 8 the game looked lost, but a fearless counterattack by Mafi Choudhury with 20 and Amit Yadav with 10 , saw Brook home by 2 wickets with 9 overs to spare.
