A magnificent 152* from Old Parks’ Mike Seemampillai saw Brook 3s lose their unbeaten record at the M&B Annex.
That looked unlikely at tea as a fine 105* from the ageless Andy Livett, well supported by Jo Wilkinson (41 from 66 balls) and Andre Thoufick (40* from 23 balls) saw Brook post 225-2 from their 40 overs.
However despite taking regular wickets, with u13 Phil Thoufick outstanding with 4-31, Joe Barwick’s men couldn’t shift Seemampillai and he won the game virtually single handedly for Parks smashing 18 fours and 6 sixes in one of the best innings seen at the Annex ground in years.
In addition to Phil Thoufick's excellence, Danny Gillham Snr escaped the axe after a tidy spell of 8-1-20-1, however there was carnage wreaked on other bowling figures with Karnal Kaylan disappearing for 45 from his 4 overs and skipper Barwick also going the distance for 36 from his 3 overs, which was still good enough for a call up to the 2s this week.
Barwick’s men will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host Chingford 4s with Dave Leadbetter in charge
