Threes Set Standard for New Campaign

Brook’s third string started their season with a comfortable win at the M & B Annex Ground. Half centuries from debutant, Juber Rukon (55) and teenager Siraj Zafar (58) boosted the hosts to a big tally. Paul Atkins and Akbar Hussain weighed in 28 and 21 respectively whilst Alfie Atkins caught the eye with a solid 16 as the Dagenham side closed on a daunting 272 for 9.

After the interval Amar Desai’s excellent 48 was the highlight of Parkonians total however 3 wickets from Rukon and a brace courtesy of Mafi Choudhary saw Goresbrook ease home by a margin of 118 runs.
