Convincing friendly victory at Brookweald.
A strong Goresbrook eleven completed their pre-season friendly campaign with a convincing win at Brookweald.
Batting first, there were half centuries for Shaun Ross 53 and Keith Friend 50, who both retired upon reaching the milestone and then further meaningful contributions from Kane Messenger 26, Billy Parnell 38* and Shane Barwick 23* to help Brook close on 234-3 from their allotted 40 overs.
Brookweald limped to 122-9 in reply with wickets for Gillham snr, Billy Parnell,Billy Smith,Shaun Ross and 3 from the very occasional seam offerings of Gillham jnr but 35 extras gave cause for concern in an otherwise domineering performance.
