Goresbrook 3's 235-4 beat Havering Atte Bower 3's 116-9 by 139 runs

Bradley Winsley returned to captain the 3's in this game played at Upminster Hall Playing Fields on Saturday and promptly lost the toss and was asked to bat.
Aaron Scott fell early but Mark Bird found vals in the home bowling attack and accumulated 71 in his first outing for the 3's this year. He hit 10 boundaries in his innings and was ably assisted firstly by the consistent Charlie Thompson(25)and then by the experience of Jo Wilkinson (70*)who also hit the ropes ten times. Bradley Winsley fell cheaply but after some persistent rain, Stuart Greaves, having earned a call up from the 4's, repaid the faith of the selectors with a quick fire 34* with 6 boundaries to finish the innings with a flourish.
More rain in Havering's reply made keeping up with the run rate very hard and many a captain would have abandoned the game but sportingly Steve Summerville chose to let play continue as Ben Irving nabbed a quick brace. Lawrence Walsh bowled tightly going for just 20 runs in 11 overs. Tommy Puncher Lee Jones and Bradley Winsley each took two wickets and Ben Irving returned to grab the ninth but Brook were unable to prize out the final scalp. Nevertheless with a total of 8 bonus points to go with the win Brook find themselves in 2nd place in the Division 10 table at the half way point of the season. The recent improvements in the batting performance must continue if Brook are to maintain their place in the promotion spot.
