Bow Green II v Goresbrook III - Essex County Cricket League - Div 2

Goresbrook thirds made the trip to West Ham Park on Saturday to face Bow Green seconds. Craig Ivey was in fine form with the bat as he top scored for the visitors with an excellent 42. Ben Irving (17) and skipper Jo Wilkinson (15) supported but with no other ‘Brook batsmen accumulating double figures, they could only muster 115 from 38.3 overs. After tea, Ben Irving and Craig Ivey enjoyed early success with the ball but Kenroy Laurence held the innings together with a dogged 31 before becoming the second of Atif Ali’s two victims. Gavin Lynch, unbeaten on 24 guided the hosts to a six wicket victory with a shade over 15 overs in hand.
