Goresbrook captain, Joe Wilkinson, lost the toss and led his troops into the field at The Annex Ground on Saturday. Kletus (17) and Anurag (14) were the only visiting batsmen in double figures as ‘Brook’s attack ran amok dismissing the visitors for a meagre 42. Ben Irving (3 for 2), Craig Ivey (2 for 19) and Bobby Gaymer (1 for 18) were the pick of the bowlers as Challenor failed to make any real impact on the game.

After the tea interval, Wentzer fired a two wicket salvo to give the visitors hope of an unlikely victory but Atif Ali (14 not) and Bradley Winsley (8 not) ensured there were no further jitters for Goresbrook as they raced to a handsome 8 wicket victory.
