‘Brook skipper Jo Wilkinson won the toss and elected to bat at May & Baker’s Annex Ground on Saturday. The Captain led by example and top scored with 25. Opener, Dave Leadbeater added 14 but a burst of 3 for 15 from Lloyd Simmister arrested Goresbrook’s advances. 15 year old Joel Oliver (19) and Tilly Wijesuriya (10) injected some impetus to the lower order as ‘Brook rallied to 120 all out from 34.3 overs.

After tea Simmister struck 21 before Best produced a swashbuckling unbeaten 42 which formed the backbone of his side’s reply. The four wickets to fall were shared between Wijesuriya, Oliver, Lee Wilkinson and teenager Ryan Paul, but 17 from Ramessar put the issue beyond doubt as Bow eased to a 6 wicket victory.
