Goresbrook’s second string brought down the curtain with a satisfying 3 wicket victory at Southchurch Park on Saturday. The visitors attack held all the aces as four wicket hauls from skipper Rohit Sharma and Karamat Ali put the Dagenham side firmly in the ascendancy. Liam Nugent battled for an excellent 40 but Jack Gibson’s brace of victims saw the Seasiders whittled out for 161.
After tea, Juber Rukon found the rope eleven times on his way to an excellent 61. Opening partner Karnail Kalyan, contributed 30 in an opening stand of 99 to give Goresbrook a springboard to a comfortable three wicket success despite all rounder Nugent’s 3 for 40.
