Brook’s left arm seamer Manish Battam produced a fiery spell of 5 for 50 to restrict Hill to 208 for 9 from their allotted 50 overs.
After tea, Rohit Sharma anchored ‘Brook’s reply with a resilient 40 whilst Karamat Ali proved the perfect foil with an entertaining 44. Their demise proved Goresbrook’s undoing but tail enders Daniel Parnell (10 not) and Karnail Kalyan (4 not ) clung on bravely for a draw and a share of the spoils.
