Another Dismals result

Lee Ramduth’s second string crashed to a 52 runs defeat at Terling's picturesque 'Dismals' ground, the hosts dismissing Goresbrook for just 92 on another damp wicket. Brook were only chasing 144 after veteran Lawrence Walsh took 4 for 26, but against some disciplined bowling, only 15 year old Adi Kumar came to terms with the pitch, the precocious teenager hitting 37, the top score in the match, but lacking any significant support, Billy Chapman's 20 odd a notable exception, he was unable to prevent Goresbrook falling to defeat, as the home side defending their meagre target tenaciously.

Terling leapfrog Goresbrook into 3rd place behind pacesetters Tillingham and Writtle, leaving Brook requiring a good performance to bounce back against mid-table Little Waltham at home next week.
