Curley half-century helps Gorsey 2's beat Tennyson 1's

Goresbrook 2nds were boosted early on by a superb knock of 64 from Joe Curley which included half a dozen boundaries. Richard Williamson (32) and Mark Bird (21) provided staunch support but the hosts fought back as Moiz and Imran grabbed 4 wickets apiece with ‘Brook ultimately, posting 163 all out on a difficult track.

After tea, Tennyson set about their target but were thwarted as wickets tumbled at regular intervals. Craig Ivey (3 for 30) was the pick of the visiting attack whilst Shaun Ross and Williamson bagged a brace of victims apiece. Skipper Andy Livett and Joe Barwick each claimed a scalp setting up a dramatic finale when, with the hosts requiring six to win, Livett ran out Moiz to clinch a memorable victory over the Division One Champions
