Friend played a captain’s innings fashioning six boundaries in a superb knock of 78. 19 year old Afzal Hussain produced a highly entertaining 66 finding the rope on seven occasions as Siani toiled with the ball to claim 3 for 42. 18 year old Billy Chapman produced the late fireworks thrashing 5 fours and a maximum in a rapid unbeaten 38 before tea was taken.
After the interval, teenagers, Daryl Forward (3 for 50) and Billy Smith (2 for 28) were in fine form as the Goresbrook attack held sway but a battling 48 from Suvidh gave the Motormen some middle order impetus. Spinner Moiz Bilwani entered the fray and his excellent variation yielded 3 for 6 to clinch a handsome 115 run victory for the Dagenham outfit.
