Set 66 overs to attain their target, ‘Green adopted a cautious approach with openers Hamza Hussain (27) and Anthony Palmer (14) building a solid platform for their reply. Muhammad Attuallah (2 for 35) gave the Dagenham outfit a fillip and a superb 10 over spell from Forward (2 for 16) put the game in the balance. Hafiz Yawar (49 not) and Sean Martin (33) settled the outcome with a dogged 5th wicket partnership of 78 and despite the latter returning a catch to Messenger late in the proceedings, the hosts eased to a 5 wicket success. Goresbrook are in 5th place in the Division of 20 sides with ‘Green now standing one place above them in fourth.
