'Brook Enjoy Day Out at Southend

After tea, Goresbrook’s reply was not without incident as they slumped to 26 for 3 to start the alarm bells ringing. In-form Lee Jones added 19 to arrest the slide before the unbeaten pairing of Jordan Calverley and skipper Kane Messenger restored the upper hand to the Dagenham outfit. Calverley struck 7 fours and a maximum in a splendid undefeated 49 whilst Messenger’s 14 not out contributed to an unbroken 6th wicket partnership of 40 steering the visitors to a five wicket success.
