The Goresbrook CC Committee would like to wish all our players, members and supporters a Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year. It has been a challenging year for us all, however we managed to get a half season of senior and colts cricket matches completed. This is a testament to the commitment of all those involved with the club and the committee wishes to pass on their heart-felt thanks to you all.

Due to the current conditions, it is very unlikely we will be able to hold our usual Annual General Meeting (AGM) this coming January. The club is required to hold an AGM and the committee will decide on its format and when to hold it, early in the new year. There will be committee posts, along with captain and vice-captain positions to fill, so please bear these in mind and watch for upcoming announcements. Should you wish to be considered for a committee or captain/vice captain position, please make this known to a committee member.

Meanwhile, the committee continues to plan for the 2021 season, with the Saturday league having new sponsors. It will now be known as the Hamro Foundation Essex League (from 1/1/2021) and continues to be the premier cricket league in Essex. The committee have submitted our continued requirement for three senior sides and fixtures will be based on a return to normal cricket next spring. We are currently awaiting updates on Sunday and Colts leagues. As soon as regulations allow, we will book indoor net sessions and publicise these through our usual social media channels.

Our ongoing success relies on the people within the club helping and supporting where required. Whilst it has been an unprecedented time for us all, we are proud that Goresbrook CC continues to put on cricket for all ages and may it continue to do so.
