After more than a decade without a player in an Essex squad until Philippe Thoufick's call-up last season, Grace Wood has swiftly made it two players in two years after her selection in the Essex girls u11 squad following winter trials.

Grace (pictured back row extreme left with the mini-Matchplay squad that won all of their games at Chelmsford last year) was skipper and a star performer for the u9's and more than held her own with the u11's last season and we are delighted that she will get the benefit of high level girls competition with Essex next season.
